2. Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Building Organisation, PWD: Post Code: 3656; Posts: 29; Educational Qualification: A degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering OR A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examination with Electrical Engineering as a subject;
3. Assistant Engineer (Electrical in PWD): Post Code: 1657; Posts: 14; Educational Qualification: A B.E. Degree in Civil Engineering of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant OR A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) under Civil Engineering Branch;
4. Assistant Engineer in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj: Post Code: 1660; Posts: 255; Educational Qualification: A degree in Civil Engineering of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants; OR A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering Branch;
5. Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Highways Department: Post Code: 1661; Posts: 171; Educational Qualification: A degree in Civil Engineering of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants; OR A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering Branch;
6. Assistant Inspector of Factories: Post Code: 1664; Posts: 06; Educational Qualification: A Degree in Mechanical or Production or Industrial or Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Textile Technology of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant;
7. Junior Electrical Inspector: Post Code: 1666; Post: 01; Educational Qualification: A degree in Electrical Engineering of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.

Pay Scale: PB2 Rs.9300-34800 + Grade pay Rs.4700/- p.m.
Max Age:  30 years as on 01/07/2010

Application Fee: OMR application form can be obtained from any one of the selected POST OFFICES in Tamil Nadu / Puducherry on payment of Rs. 30/-. OR Candidates can also avail of the facility of applying Online on the Commission’s Website. Candidates applying Online should possess and keep ready Postal Receipt for Rs.155/- (i.e. Application fee Rs.30/- and Examination fee Rs.125/-).
