• Scientist ‘D’: Posts: 07 (UR-06, Hearing Handicapped-01): Educational Qualification: A Doctorate in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics from a recognized University / Institution; Max Age: 45 years as on 1 July 2010; Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100, Grade Pay: Rs.7600.
• Scientist ‘C’: Posts: 08 (UR-07, Orthopaedically Handicapped-01); Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree preferably a Doctorate in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Electronics, OR B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Tech. (Electronics / Electrical Engineering) degree from a recognized university/institution; Max Age: 40 years as on 1 July 2010; Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100, Grade Pay: Rs. 6600/-.
• Scientist ‘B’: Posts: 02 (UR-01, SC-01): Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Electronics, OR B.E./ B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Electronics / Electrical Engineering) degree from a recognized university/institution; Max Age: 35 years as on 1 July 2010; Pay Scale: Rs.15600-38100, Grade Pay: Rs. 5400/-.
